On December 8, 1980, John Lennon
was shot to death outside his NYC apartment. On December 8, 2011, the
world remembers one of the greatest legends in rock and roll history.
While it's been more than three decades since Mark David Chapman tragically took Lennon's life, the former Beatle lives on through his music, his image, and of course, his family. But that's not all. As his wife Yoko Ono explained to USA Today , his "spirit still soars."
Speaking of Yoko Ono, she's in Japan for a tribute concert. But if you wanted to hear more of her thoughts on Lennon, here's more of what she told the Vancouver Sun, here you go: “Now that John's a spirit, he has a different effect on people than when he was alive,” she told the Sun. “Spirits talk on a pure level and don't get distracted by people saying things like, 'That's nice, but why's he wearing that?' ... Of course, it would still be better if John was around."
