Creative & Unique DIY Scottish / Japanese Barn Wedding

This wedding was all kinds of wonderful ~ intimate and creative, laid back and fun, and lovingly hand and home made from the ground up. (If you missed Part 1, I highly recommend you check it out.)
Elsbeth and Chris decorated their barn in Fife, Scotland, with a Japanese ‘zakka’ theme which resulted in an eclectic mix of rustic, cute, colourful and kitch DIY decor. Elsbeth said:
We decorated old jars and bottles to serve as centrepieces. We put candles in some, wild flowers in others. There were SO many bottles!
A vintage wedding dress swathed in tulle and wild flowers served as a charming candy buffet display and their burlap wrapped ‘matrimocha’ favours were displayed in a wheelbarrow! While performances from their talented musician friends, including an apt rendition of ‘singing in the rain’ for the couple’s first dance, raised the barn roof.
During a brief break in the rain, Zoe of Photos by Zoe captured some truly beautiful, atmospheric shots of Elsbeth and Chris amidst the rolling, green hills of Fife.
Elsbeth and Chris discovered Photos by Zoe via her Facebook Page. Here’s what they had to say about their experience with Zoe:
We instantly LOVED all the photos she had on her page, and were even more excited to see that she was local. The story telling, rustic, vintage and overall style was exactly what we were looking for. That Zoe is such an amazingly wonderful and joyful person as well as talented was more than we could have hoped for.
